Add a service
We are always looking to expand our service directory. The only rules regarding service additions are listed below. Please note that a site must adhere to all of the listed requirements in order to be added.
RankingThe submitted site must support ranking of links. A good example of this type of site is Digg.Social NetworkThis requirement is sort of impied...it must be a social network that ranks the URLs in the service. The idea here is that the network is able to rank a large quantity or URLs.Buttons (with rank shown)One key benefit of Boostpost is that it shows the rank of a URL via the button. Without a subscription or any other caveat, a service in Boostpost must expose a way to embed this ranking button in a webpage.Alternate UrlBecause the button is used on the "boostpage", the service must allow a different URL to be supplied than the url of the page hosting the button.ResponsivenessIt should take no more than 5 seconds to display the button for a service. Services are periodically removed from the Boostpost service directory for failing to meet this threshold.ReliableTimeouts or server error messages make everyone look bad. Services in Boostpost either must be reliable or they will not be added.ScalableServices on Boostpost should be able to accept an increase in their traffic without a hit to their responsiveness. |
